株価は74%上昇
まず、株価ですが就任以降1年間で74%の上昇を記録したとか。
これは歴代のCEOと比較してダントツの伸び率なのだそうです。
あくまで上昇率なので、就任以前の会社の状況が異なるわけですから一概に比較できませんが、あのYahoo!がここまで市場から評価してもらえたのは大したものだと思います。また、中国EC大手のアリババが米Yahoo!から自社株の20%を買い戻したことが大きな要因であるとも推測されています。
1年で17社を買収
マリッサがCEOに就任して以降、有望なスタートアップを爆速で買収していきました。有名な例は15歳の少年が立ち上げたSummly、約11億ドルで買収されたTumblrなど。
ビックリするのはその買収の数!1年で17社を買収しています。米Yahoo!が創業以来買収した83社のうち20%以上がマリッサによる買収なのだとか。

Tumblrの大型買収後も6社の買収を行なっています。
買収後Tumblrを除くほとんどのサービスを閉鎖していることが特徴的ですね。
人材確保とモバイル分野での品質向上に余念がないことが伺えます。

また、余談ですがTumblr買収前はヨーロッパのYouTube的ポディションであるDailymotionの買収を試みましたが、失敗しています。
